About
Bringing Salsa to the UK..
Salsa Touch UK was set up in early 2009 to provide an inspirational platform to encourage more people to take up Salsa dancing. Salsa Touch aim to bring Salsa dancing to as many people and locations as possible in the UK.
Jean Paul, a rising Salsa star in the UK is the spearhead behind Salsa Touch and its many activities throughout Yorkshire and the UK. With over 10 years of Salsa dancing experience behind him involving performances with some of the biggest names in the UK Jean aims to take Salsa to another level in the main stream media.
Salsa is a passionate and energetic Latina dance form which can help improve a person's confidence, health and social life as well as being so much fun to learn. It has also helped people form friendships with like minded people, the whole Salsa community around the UK is full of interesting and fun people, and so getting involved in the dance regularly will see your social circle dramatically grow.
Salsa Touch is developing many different services and ideas to shine the best possible light on Salsa dancing in the UK and to unite people who just love to dance.

I took my first salsa lesson at the Latin school in New Delhi and got HOOKED. I always wanted to stay on longer with the instructor to improve and refused to leave until I was asked to "go away!!".
For me Salsa is a real PASSION!
Through dancing I find that I can convey all the emotions I feel and this has helped me to discover a lot of my strengths.
I work in vaccine development and Salsa allows me to let my hair down... if you know what I mean!
If someone were to ask me which is the greater passion, my research work as a scientist with my viruses at the lab (which I hope one day will translate into alleviating some human suffering across the globe), or dance, which gives me the freedom to express, relax, enjoy and get fresh ideas and certainly make myself and others around me feel more "upbeat", I'd be hard pressed for a choice.
I realise today, that for me, one cannot exist without the other, as they complement the various facets that is "me" as an individual and as a member of the human race.

I love dancing! It's such a wonderful way to connect with yourself and other people.
I was always one of those kids who couldn't sit still in class, I guess now I know why...
My body always has to move! You will hopefully get as addicted to dancing as I am, it you aren't already.
I've been blessed with many opportunities in my life; from dancing with Miss Universe Ghana (my partner actually won, yay!) to hosting a Salsa segment on Good Morning Ghana (Metro TV).
Now I'm getting ready for the Strictly Saltaire Ball to give you a wonderful time.
I'm looking forward to dancing with you, start shaking that body!
